The novel begins in the year 2074 on the planet Earth, during an invasion by a hostile half-human, half-panther race called the Panthorians. Although the invaders are forced to retreat, alien gladiator Tallon takes a prize back home with him to be his slave: a gorgeous, sultry human named Cereese Fredonia Niles. Transported to his planet, a world seldom seen or experienced, Cereese refuses Tallon’s kindness and aches for Earth. Living and surviving in her master’s dark world isn’t easy, but slowly, she begins to fall for her handsome captor, and his cold cruel heart begins to melt under the glow of her beauty and goodness. Can these two people from two such different worlds find a happily ever after? Or will Tallon find that the price for loving a human is far too high?

Beauty, who originally crafted this novel at the age of fifteen, writes like a visionary. Her characters are rich and complex. Cereese is no damsel in distress, but a strong, confident and passionate spitfire who can hold her own against her captor. Tallon is no run-of-the mill villain, either, and readers will thrill as he begins to discover the compassion and true love buried deep within his heart. While the story takes place on an exotic planet, the issues it delves into are the same ones we grapple with here on earth: sexism, betrayal, abuse and racism.
